Lee Stanford

Lee Stanford is a pianist with thirty-seven years of experience studying, training, teaching, and performing. His Journey began at ten years old, when his elementary school music teacher would give him short piano lessons and Hanon exercises after school. He progressed rapidly amd began to give recitals in school in front of classmates amd staff then continued on to win awards throughout high school, including the Berklee College of Music Judges Choice award for jazz improvisation. At eighteen years old Lee joined the New Jersey Shore-based band Hyperactive, with whom he played for a decade, including an MTV debut in 2000

Lee earned his Associates of Music from Mercer County Community College in West Windsor, NJ in 2003 and has since continued to hone his classical piano skills, studying advanced music theory with Jim Kelly and jazz with world renowned pianist, Jim Ridl.

Lee has performed in nearly every setting across many genres, including jazz trios, quartets, big band, chamber ensemble, orchestra, vocal accompaniment, lounge, cruise ship, and rock/pop/blues band.

Lee continues to study the piano as well as the electric bass and is learning something new everyday.
