Hayato Sumino began his professional music career after winning the Grand Prix at the PTNA Piano Competition in 2018 and gained international recognition as a semi-finalist at the 18th International Chopin Piano Competition in 2021. He has since performed with leading orchestras such as the NHK Symphony, Tokyo Philharmonic, and Polish National Radio Symphony, under conductors including Marin Alsop and Joe Hisaishi. His concerts have captivated audiences across North America, Europe, and Asia.

Signed to Sony Classical, Sumino released his debut album in Autumn 2024, featuring works by Bach, Fauré, Sakamoto, and his own compositions. A Steinway Artist and Forbes Japan 30 Under 30 honoree, he holds a Master’s in Engineering from The University of Tokyo and is a CASIO ambassador.
